Happy Birthday!

This weekend was packed full of drama and excitement! Our school is out for Good Friday and Easter "Monday," so it was a perfect time to have family in. Friday morning started out with laundry and Dora the Explorer. Then Grandma and Grandpa (Jason's parents) arrived just in time for me to go to my 30 week doctor's appointment.

The doctor had good news; my blood count is up, yet still anemic, and I get to eat more! She is worried that I am not gaining enough weight and told me to eat, eat, eat. The baby is growing well, though and is moving all the time. I see her again in two weeks!

After the appointment, I went and picked up Logan and the G.P.'s for lunch. We met Jason at McAlister's Deli where we caught up and watched as Logan ate from my plate instead of his. Then it was nap time for the boys, and Jan and I went to shop for picnic supplies. When we returned, Nanny and Papa (my parents) were there and ready to play with Logan. After a night of playing and a great dinner at Chevy's everyone turned in early.

Saturday was beautiful. Logan drug the grandparents onto the porch to play in the sandbox, while I made breakfast. After Logan went down for a nap, Jason and I took a trip -alone- to the store. We stopped by Target to find a birthday candle, but ended up finding the perfect decorations for Logan's new room. We even found a basketball door mat for only $1! Hopefully, they will show up in some of the pictures. After fighting the crowd...and I mean crowd at Target, we headed across to Wal-Mart to pick up the cake. We were very surprised to find firetrucks and an empty parking lot. Due to a power outage, Wal-Mart was closed! Crazy. I begged for Logan's B-Day cake and was told to just go buy one elsewhere. So, we drove across town and just as we pulled into park at Schnucks, Wal-Mart called and said they had gone in after our cake. They even gave it to us free!

When we returned home, Nanny was really ill (it turned out to be bronchitis) and so Papa had taken her home. So it was up to Grandma and me to go and decorate the park. We had a blast with the sports theme. I was put in charge of the grill somehow. It would be great if I had experience with this, but everyone seemed to be okay with the hot dogs. I can't believe Logan turned two!

Easter was the next day and after church, we had a great time watching Logan search for Easter Eggs. He looked so spiffy in his new suit! We were so glad to have time with the family and feel so blessed by God.

Until next time!
