Snow Days

Well, it is that time of year. Everyone is about, bussling around, rushing to purchase all the packages for Santa. Jason and I are taking a year off from gift buying, with the exception of Logan, Erica, and each other. With the baby and the house, it is the responsible choice. That hasn't stopped us from shopping, though. We love to cruise around the mall checking out all there is to offer. On Thursday, we stopped in to let Logan tell Santa what he wants for Christmas. It is a tradition, like the lights and the tree, that come with the magic of Christmas. It is nice to have that warm feeling inside. This year, with the ice storm and now the snow, it has been really fun to be with each other while being stuck in the house. We even got to host our neighbors for one night. I wish it could have been more, just for the fun feeling of having company, but I know they were very happy to have electricity back. Our block looks great, but as you drive down the street, the devastation from the ice cannot be missed. Big limbs are on houses and cars, but luckily on Wednesday the rescue team came in. 13 bucket trucks were in our neighborhood alone. This weekend we are under a heavy snow advisory, so it is yet another day to clean. Maybe I will finally get the tree decorated. I am just so thankful for the opportunity to show the true meaning of the season and that we were able to help one another.

I am sure that most of you want to know how Logan is doing. He is scooting around the house and starting to pull the things off of the shelves. He still loves shoes and talking to the fish in the coffee table. He is helping me type this now. The new favorite toy is the jumper. gbnnnnnnnn.
That was him; it was too cute to erase. He is eating stage two foods and those little puffs that melt. The other day he got to eat his first goldfish cracker. I can't believe how big he is getting. If it wasn't for his jumper, I don't know what we would do. He jumps for hours. Well, not really, but it feels like a long time! OK, so he is chewing on the cord...I must go entertain him! I will post pictures and hopefully a video of his jumping, soon!
